100% grass-fed beef for natural breeding
At Mon Beau Bon Boeuf, we respect the natural rhythm of our animals, while promoting self-sufficient and sustainable breeding. All cattle are fed exclusively on grass and hay; no cereals or growth hormones are offered to animals to accelerate their growth. As a result, the time required for steers to reach adult size is longer, requiring additional costs for producers. However, the benefits for animal welfare and environmental preservation are inestimable.

The Frédéric Fortin farm is above all the story of a great enthusiast! A born entrepreneur and epicurean by nature, Frédéric Fortin loves beef, both in great restaurants and with his family on the barbecue. He loves it so much that he decides to raise his own beef! Self-taught by nature, he did his research and discovered a variety of beef called: the GALLOWAY.
Inspired, he decides to build a small farm on his land in Oka and becomes a grass-fed Galloway beef breeder at the age of 42. He involves his whole family in a new project that fascinates him. The Frédéric Fortin farm is really happy to introduce you to Galloway beef, a precious local product.
Our beef breeds
We currently offer cattle of two different breeds, Black Angus and Galloway. These two breeds feature less fatty meat, but with more character. All our beef is exclusively grass-fed and identified from birth to ensure traceability. Learn more about the different breeds of beef offered by our local producers.
Galloway beef
At Mon Beau Bon Bœuf, the herds are made up only of the “belted” Galloway breed, which we affectionately call Beltie, taken from the English Belted Galloway. The beasts can be black or brown, with a white belt around their belly. They look like big OREO cookies wandering around in the pastures!
Black Angus
There are two types of Angus beef, black and red (Black Angus and Red Angus) which are distinguished mainly by the color of their coat. You guessed it, dark red or even red for the second and black for the first. At Mon Beau Bon Boeuf, we only raise black Angus beef, grass-fed.

How does delivery work and which cities are served?
We deliver to your home between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the week. You are entitled to free delivery on purchases over $125. We serve Montreal, the Laurentians, Lanaudière, The South Shore, Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Gatineau. For more details, click here .
What types of payment are accepted?
We accept Interac payments or those made with a credit card.
How do you keep your meat fresh?
Our products are frozen and vacuum-packed to preserve their freshness and flavors.
